Boston Seeks Creative Industries Consultant

August 24, 2017

Boston has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a creative industries consultant. The consultant will be responsible for implementing a Creative Industries Workforce Development Program within Mayor Marty Walsh’s Office of Workforce Development.

“The initiative is a joint venture between OWD, Emerson College and the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) and will identify how to create opportunities for Boston residents to gain employment in the Creative Industries,” according to Sampan.

The consultant will build on Mayor Walsh’s Boston Creates Cultural Plan by focusing on growing the city’s long term creative capital through both private and public funding.

The RFP was released on Monday, August 21. Proposals are due by September 21 at 5 p.m.
