For the sixth time, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will invite Massachusetts artists working in all disciplines (visual arts, literary, performing, crafts, new media, etc.) to the State House on Thursday, November 8th to thank them for all they contribute to our state’s economy and quality of life. Massachusetts is the only state in the country to have such an event!
The 2012 event will be brought to you by the Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development, The Massachusetts State Treasury, the Massachusetts Artists Leaders Coalition, the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development, the Joint Committee on Community Development and Small Businesses, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and the State House’s Cultural Caucus. The event runs from 10am to 2pm and is free and open to the public.

Directions and Parking Information:
The State House is a public building and you can visit it during its public hours anytime you want to! There are free public tours of the building.
The Street Address of the State House is 24 Beacon Street Boston MA 02133. It is the building with the large gold dome as pictured on this website. Due to the lack of parking, the use of public transportation is encouraged.
There are three public entrances to the State House: (1) Hooker entrance on Beacon Street at the front of the building (2) Bowdoin Street entrance (handicapped accessible) in front right corner of the building (3) Ashburton Park entrance (handicapped accessible) off Bowdoin Street near rear of building. We are asking artists (who can use stairs) to use the Hooker entrance.
