Monday, July 8, 7:30 – 9 PM
Old South Church, Boston 645 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116[/note]

The Marty Walsh for Mayor campaign will be fanning out across the City over the coming months, staging a series of open Town Hall Meetings with residents. ‘Mondays With Marty’ are designed to be an opportunity for the candidate to listen to voters about their concerns. These events will be organized around either neighborhoods or constituency groups, and will be free and open to the public.

Please join us, and bring your friends, so that you can tell Marty what you think we can do to support Boston’s Creative Economy and Citizen Artists. Moderated by David Dower and Veronique LeMelle.

For more info email info@martywalsh.org or go to http://www.martywalsh.org/

*MALC & AUD.org Note: Walsh is also a key State Representative and can be helpful to our sector NOW -so educating him to our community’s issues is important as many city issues are also issues on a state level -funding, access (as many sites in the City of Boston are actually state owned sites), etc.

[note color=”#ffbe2f”]Create the Vote Campaign Kickoff
Wednesday, July 10th 5 to 7pm
Cyclorama – Boston Center for the Arts, 543-547 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02116[/note]

For the first time in 20 years, Boston will elect a new Mayor. For the first time in a generation, the City will hear a robust discussion of its strengths and challenges and debate a vision of our City for the next five to ten years.

As leaders and supporters of the arts, cultural and creative community, MALC is working with MASSCreative and a coalition of 50 other institutions and organizations to ensure that our issues are part of that discussion. We need to make sure that the next Mayor of Boston is not just a supporter of our work, but a true champion of the creative community.

Please join CREATE THE VOTE — BOSTON 2013 on July 10th from 5-7 PM at the Cyclorama at the Boston Center for the Arts as we help launch the non-partisan “Create the Vote” campaign to make sure the next Mayor of Boston is a champion of the arts, culture and creative community.

We will have drinks, performers from our city’s vibrant arts community as entertainment, and some simple actions that you can take to make a big difference in this year’s Mayoral campaign.
