May 10, CSUSA Event: Deaccessioning: Art, Morals, and the Law
Join the New England Chapter of the Copyright Society of the USA and Northeastern’s Center for Law, Innovation and Creativity on May 10, 2018, for a presentation by Nicholas M. O’Donnell, a Partner in the Litigation Department of Sullivan & Worcester and the leader of the firm’s Art & Museum Law practice group, where he served as “lead counsel on a variety of lawsuits concerning restitution and fine art sales and has advised museums, dealers, auction houses, and collectors worldwide about restitution, copyright, and de-accessioning issues”.
Mr. O’Donnell will be “presenting on the law of the deaccessioning of artwork and his experience representing members of the Berkshire Museum in their efforts to stop the controversial sale of some of the Museum’s prized works”.
Because so many in our community were deeply involved in the Berkshire Museum’s de-accessioning controversy, we know you won’t want to miss this FREE event.
