There will also be a Celebration of Life Ceremony for Massachusetts Artists Leaders Coalition Co-Founder Liora Beer from 12:30pm to 1:30pm, as part of the AUD event in the Great Hall. Members of her family will be in attendance.

The ceremony is open to all.

For the twelfth time, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is inviting Massachusetts artists working in all disciplines (visual arts, literary, performing, crafts, new media, etc.) to the State House on Wednesday, November 14th, from 9:30am to 2pm, in the State House’s Great Hall to thank them for all they contribute to our state’s economy and quality of life.

This year is also the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Massachusetts Artists Leaders Coalition!

Highlights of what is planned for the morning of November 14th:

  • 9:30am to 9:55am – Checking/Registration
  • 9:55am to 10:15am – The morning speaking program
  • 10:15am – The annual group photograph at the Grand Staircase
  • 10:30am to 11am – The Champions of Artists award ceremony. These awards are given by MALC to honor those who have shown exceptional support of the artists community. The awardees will be announced in October on the MALC blog!
  • 11am – State Treasurer Goldberg will open a discussion of the 2018 By Artists, For Artists report.

Both the AUD event and Celebration of Life ceremony are free and open to the public.

Registration is not required, but is strongly suggested.
