New IRS 1099 reporting requirement repealed!

New IRS 1099 reporting requirement repealed by Obama!

As part of the National Health Care Reform Law, there was a change in IRS 1099 reporting that would have required every self-employed person, or small business and nonprofit of any size, to report via 1099 form not only those they pay over $600 for a service, but file a 1099 for any goods/products they purchased for $600 or over (this means if you bought a computer, office products from Staples, your phone service, your landlord, you will have to 1099 them).

Thank you to everyone who advocated on this issue! It worked!

Please thank your Congressperson and your Senators (all Federal level) as well as President Obama for signing it!

Great work everyone!
