Update on H4384, “An Act relative to the sterilization of musical instruments in schools”

January 9, 2015

We regret to inform everyone that H.4384, “An Act relative to the sterilization of musical instruments in schools”, was signed into law by now former Governor Patrick before he left office. There were two amendments adopted in the final bill*.

View the final language of the now law:

The next steps in our advocacy will be to work with the Department of Public Health on the regulations and with school committees and the boards of charter schools.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to call Governor Patrick’s office to oppose the bill.  Stay tuned and ready!
