Update On Massachusetts State Senate Budget

May 22, 2014

Monday, May 19th 2014

Greetings everyone!

First, thank you to everyone who contacted their State Senator last week on three issues!

The three issues: http: //artistsunderthedome.org/malc/legislation/important-contact-state-senator-today/

The Senate will begin debate on their budget this Wednesday, May 21st. You can watch the Senate debate in person at the State House or via the “Senate Cam” (just go to https://malegislature.gov/Events/SenateSessions; you need to check on this page to see it stream live the day of).

I am happy to report that NO anti-coop amendment was filed!

As of Friday a total 21 of the 40 Senators (this includes the Sponsor Senator Kathleen O’Connor Ives) have backed increasing the funding for the MCC (the list is at the end of this update)!

If you see your Senator’s name on the list, please thank them. If you don’t see your Senator’s name on the list, please contact them and ask them to sign on to the amendment (they still can).
