City of Boston Launches “Boston Creates”

April 13, 2015

On Thursday, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh launched the city’s cultural planning process. “Boston Creates” will work with residents, visitors, and all stakeholders to design an arts and culture blueprint for the city.

“Boston is a city of innovation, diversity and collaboration – a city where creativity and imagination are some of our most powerful assets,” Walsh said. “Over the next fifteen months, we are going to look to all voices in the city to tell us what matters. This shared vision for the City will ensure all residents can fully experience and benefit from Boston’s vibrant arts and cultural life.”

During the campaign for mayor last year, Walsh committed to working with all members of the community to create Boston’s arts and culture blueprint. Boston Creates will be led by The Cultural Planning Group. Volunteers are wanted to serve on a Leadership Council and Community Engagement Teams. Those interested may apply by clicking this link: www.bostoncreates.org.
