Artists in Context, a project of The Arts Company, based in Cambridge, MA, will host its Connected and Consequential conference on June 10-12, gathering artists, activists, academics and civic leaders to engage with creativity and the practice of art in working toward social change and to discuss specific topics such as Art and Health, Art and the Environment and Art and Social Justice.
On May 17, the keynote presentation speakers are Nicco Mele, a specialist in integrated social media as well as politics, business and communications, and Theaster Gates, an artist, musician, “cultural planner” and current Director of Arts Program Development at the University of Chicago. The keynote presentations on May 17 will be at the Boston Public Library, Copley Square, in the Boston Room at 6:30 p.m. Space is limited so please reserve your seats here.
