Contact your State Senator and Representative to restore funding to the MCC, MOTT & key legislative language to the Percent for Art Program

As reported by MALC, Governor Baker vetoed the needed budget increases for the MCC & MOTT, and he also changed the Massachusetts Percent for Art Program.

We need you to contact your State Senator and Representative to urge them to restore full funding to the MCC & MOTT and to undo the Governor’s changes to the Percent for Art Program.

What to ask them to do:

  • Override the Governor’s veto to restore the funding for the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) back to $14 million  (line item  0640-0300).
  • Override the Governor’s veto to restore funding for Massachusetts Office of Tourism & Travel (MOTT) back to $14.6 million (line 7008-0900).
  • Reverse the Governor’s amendments to the Massachusetts percent for art program (MPAP) – SECTION 28. Chapter 7C of the General Laws – but keep it a statewide program as the Governor amended it to be.
