Fairmount Innovation Lab logoThe Fairmount Innovation Lab is a unique cross-sector space in the Uphams Corner neighborhood of Dorchester that offers business support to community startups and creative enterprises in the areas of growth and development.  FIL  focuses in the areas of helping entrepreneurs to rethink business via workshops and classes while also providing them with work-space and resources (mentorship) vital for early stage startups.  Lastly, we endeavor to create an ecosystem where ideas are challenged, supported, and enabled. We do this and much more… Come grow your business with us!

Key Dates for the 2016 Winter Accelerator

  • Application Deadline: December 8
  • Accelerator begins February 1

 Businesses can be:

  • In a pilot stage and working with beta customers that help validate the product or service;
  • In the idea phase with a strong offering and able to demonstrate their understanding of their target market and a way to reach them;
  • Able to commit to fully participate in the program;
  • Passionate about their idea or business – and their actions and results reflect this;
  • Invested in the business or non-profit become self-sustaining;
  • Interested in positively impacting community and society whether generating income for one or more employees, addressing societal problems, etc.
