Joint Revenue Committee Hearing of House Bill H.62
Dear MPC Members & Supporters,
We are very proud of our industry members, representatives, and supporters who testified or sent information to the Joint Committee on Revenue hearing on Tuesday regarding House Bill H.62. We are grateful to everyone who took time off to have their voice heard and support the proceedings.
Some positive messages that came from the hearing are that the two issues (the Earned Income Tax Credit and Film Tax Credit) are clearly being considered separately by the legislature, rather than linked together as the Governor’s proposal does. Many of the supporters who testified for the EITC are also supportive of the FTC, and do not want these issues combined. We will continue to provide you with updates on H.62 and the budget process as information becomes available.
We are pleased to share that the email campaign leading up to the committee hearing generated over 3,500 emails to Senators and House Representatives, and over 1,200 additional emails in the campaign on the day of the hearing. Great work by all who submitted and shared the message.
THANK YOUR LEGISLATORS FROM THE COMMITTEE HEARING
If you live in a district of the following legislators who offered testimony or support for the industry during the Revenue Committee hearing, please take a moment to call (or write) and thank them.
