Looking Back and Looking Forward

January 3, 2017

Looking back and looking forward….

On behalf of the MALC Steering Committee, we wish all a healthy, prosperous, and creative 2017.

Looking back…

2016 marked the celebration of the 10th annual Artists Under the Dome Event at the Massachusetts State House. It is the only even of its kind in the country.

MALC released its Labor Policy paper in 2016.

Looking forward…

MALC’s work in 2017 and beyond will be guided by our Labor Policy paper. Currently, we are working with legislators to file several pieces of legislation in the 2017-8 legislative cycle that would  implement several key goals from our labor policy paper.

Governor Baker releases his budget on January 25th 2017 and this kicks off the entire budget process.

Given the new federal landscape in Washington DC, 2017 will undoubtedly be a year of stepped up statewide and national advocacy.

MALC will be working hard to keep all informed of key issues, legislation, regulations and needed advocacy

We are an all volunteer coalition: we do not solicit or accept donations. What we do need is your help and support when we issue calls to action. We do ask you, also, to urge your fellow artists of all disciplines to like MALC on Facebook and/or subscribe to our blog.

Let’s work together in strength for 2017!
