MA Earned Sick Time Draft Regulations & Notice of Hearings Schedule

April 30, 2015

Last fall, via ballot initiative, the citizens of our Commonwealth approved an Earned Sick Time law. This law impacts all employers in the Commonwealth from large to small and goes into effect July 1st, 2015.

You can read the original ballot question here: http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/ele14/pip144.htm

Read a good explanation of the law here:

The Attorney General just released draft regulations for the implementation of the law, and announced dates for a listening tour and public hearings.

MALC will be weighing in on these regulations and we encourage others to do so as well.
