We are pleased to announce that the 2014 Artist Fellowships guidelines, dates, and deadlines are now available. MCC’s Artist Fellowships are competitive, anonymously-judged grants for individual artists, with awards based solely on the artistic quality and creative ability of the original work submitted*. This cycle, applications are accepted in the following categories:

Online applications available NOW: August 15, 2013
Application deadline: October 7, 2013
[highlighter color=”red]Choreography, Fiction/Creative Nonfiction, and Painting[/highlighter]
Online applications available: December 15, 2013
Application deadline: January 27, 2014
Changes this cycle:
Pending approval by MCC’s board in late August, the fellowship amount will be $10,000 (it was $7,500).
Visual arts disciplines (this cycle, that includes Drawing and Painting) will now be accepted through CallforEntry.org.
[highlighter color=”red]Literary categories[/highlighter] (this cycle, Fiction/Creative Nonfiction and Poetry) will now accept electronic submissions of work samples (nothing to mail in).
*All categories are anonymously judged, except for Traditional Arts, which is not anonymous and includes additional review criteria.
