\nA leader in the field of artists’ career development, Angela Myles Beeching is the author of “Beyond Talent: Creating a Successful Career in Music.” In demand as a speaker and consultant, Ms Beeching is the former director of the Career Services Center at New England Conservatory and is a visiting consultant to the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She has presented workshops at many schools, including Juilliard, Oberlin, Eastman, Colburn, NYU, University of Maryland, University of Texas, Austin, and the Royal College of Music, London. A Fulbright Scholar, Ms Beeching holds a doctorate in cello performance from SUNY Stony Brook and maintains a thriving consulting practice, helping people create their own paths to success. \nCinereach is now accepting applications for its Summer 2011 Grant Cycle.
\nCinereach supports feature-length nonfiction and fiction films that are at the intersection of engaging storytelling, visual artistry, and vital subject matter. Grantees\u2019 films often possess an independent spirit, depict underrepresented perspectives, and resonate across international boundaries. They favor story over message, character over agenda, and complexity over duality.<\/p>\n

Grant amounts can range from $5,000 \u2013 $50,000 per project and can be awarded to support any stage of production including research and development, production and post-production.

Through case studies and moderated discussions, conference participants will learn how artists and their collaborators are using their creativity and finely honed skills to intervene in the major issues of our time to produce positive social outcomes. The proceedings will focus on the best ways to develop successful “integrated or hybrid practices”, including the role of collaboration, research, technology and sustainability.<\/p>\n
