Go\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/masscultural.pmailus.com\/pmailweb\/ct?d=VjhfbwGhAAgAAAJxAAYb1A\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>\u00a0to find contact information for your Senator, and check\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/masscultural.pmailus.com\/pmailweb\/ct?d=VjhfbwGhAAgAAAMnAAYb1A\" target=\"_blank\">this link<\/a>\u00a0for the latest advocacy updates from MCC.<\/p>\n<h3>Come to the State House May 24!<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Show your support at the State House on May 24 at Arts|Learning&#8217;s annual arts education symposium and advocacy awards.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Arts|Learning is presenting its annual arts education symposium and advocacy awards on May 24 at the Massachusetts State House, Gardner Auditorium, 8:30 a.m. &#8211; 3:30 p.m. The symposium,\u00a0<em>Theory in Action: Research to Results<\/em>, will examine best practices in arts education including community partnerships, Understanding by Design curriculum planning, interdisciplinary arts instruction, and the Universal Design for Learning model.<\/p>\n<p>Arts|Learning&#8217;s 26th\u00a0<em>Champions of Arts Education<\/em>\u00a0<em>Advocacy<\/em>\u00a0Awards will be announced throughout the day. Honorees include\u00a0<strong>Anita Walker<\/strong>, MCC Executive Director;\u00a0<strong>Senator Stanley Rosenberg<\/strong>;\u00a0<strong>Representative Alice Peisch<\/strong>; and\u00a0<strong>Peter H. Reynolds<\/strong>, author and illustrator of such famous books as\u00a0<em>The Dot<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Ish.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>During the day, attendees will have an opportunity to visit their legislators&#8217; offices to talk about the importance of arts education.
