[dropcap type=”rounded” color=”orange”]S[\/dropcap]aturday’s Arts and Culture Public Hearing<\/a>, sponsored by Mayor Walsh and his Arts and Culture Transition Team, can be summed up in two words – resounding success<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Artists, educators, and advocates from all sectors and neighborhoods lined up to speak eloquently and passionately about their work and their needs-to-succeed . Several even chose to present their statements musically, wonderfully underscoring the life-changing contributions that individual artists, and the institutions that fostered their growth, make to our city’s culture. These collective voices spoke powerfully about the tremendous impact that aggressive arts and culture funding and policy support would have on making Boston a truly livable, thriving, and supportive environment for all.<\/p>\n
