We are grateful to everyone who took time off to have their voice heard and support the proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Some positive messages that came from the hearing are that the two issues (the Earned Income Tax Credit and Film Tax Credit) are clearly being considered separately by the legislature, rather than linked together as the Governor&#8217;s proposal does. Many of the\u00a0supporters who testified for the EITC are also supportive of the FTC, and do not want these issues combined. We will continue to provide you with updates on H.62 and the budget process as information becomes available.<\/p>\n<p>We are pleased to share that the email campaign leading up to the committee hearing generated <b>over 3,500 emails<\/b> to Senators and House Representatives, and <b>over 1,200\u00a0additional emails<\/b> in the campaign on the day of the hearing.
