This law impacts all employers in the Commonwealth from large to small and goes into effect July 1st, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>You can read the original ballot question here: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sec.state.ma.us\/ele\/ele14\/pip144.htm\">http:\/\/www.sec.state.ma.us\/ele\/ele14\/pip144.htm<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Read a good explanation of\u00a0the law here:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.agcmass.org\/news-advocacy\/latest-news\/new-massachusetts-sick-leave-law-effective-july-1-2015\/\">http:\/\/www.agcmass.org\/news-advocacy\/latest-news\/new-massachusetts-sick-leave-law-effective-july-1-2015\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Attorney General just released draft regulations for the implementation of the law, and announced dates for a listening tour and public hearings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MALC will be weighing in on these regulations and we encourage others to do so as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Friday, April 24, 2015 5:31 PM<\/p>\n<h4>Earned Sick Time Draft Regulations &amp; Hearings Schedule<\/h4>\n<p>The Attorney General\u2019s Office this afternoon submitted proposed regulations 940 CMR 33.00 governing the application of the Earned Sick Time Law, M.G.L. c. 149, \u00a7 148C. The AGO\u2019s designated Earned Sick Time website with initial materials is now live at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mass.gov\/ago\/earnedsicktime\">http:\/\/www.mass.gov\/ago\/earnedsicktime<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with questions about the law and draft regulations can email <a href=\"mailto:earnedsicktime@state.ma.us\">earnedsicktime@state.ma.us<\/a>. We will continue to add FAQs, multilingual content, and other information in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>Below is a list of nine listening sessions and public hearings to be held between May 8 and June 5 in <strong>Boston, Brockton, Fall River, Framingham, Lowell, Pittsfield, Salem, Springfield, and Worcester<\/strong>.
