The House has just completed their budget session and the Senate is still in session and will by all reports be working well after 5pm today on override votes.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the results:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Both the House and Senate voted to override the Governor\u2019s veto to restore the FULL funding for the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC)\u00a0back to $14.6 million<b>\u00a0\u00a0(<\/b>line item \u00a00640-0300) on July 29.\u00a0The final votes in favor of the MCC override were 153-2 in the House and 38-0 in the Senate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Vote to override the Governor\u2019s veto to restore\u00a0funding for Massachusetts Office of Tourism &amp; Travel (MOTT) back to $14.6 million\u00a0(line\u00a07008-0900).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Today the House voted to restore MOTT&#8217;S funding &#8211; 146 to 8.\u00a0 The Senate has yet to take up this vote but our sources say they are hopeful the Senate will restore MOTT&#8217;s funding. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Calls are needed on this line item.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reverse the Governor\u2019s amendments to\u00a0the Massachusetts percent for art program (MPAP) \u2013 SECTION 28, Chapter 7C of the General Laws \u2013 but keep it a statewide program, as the Governor amended it to be.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The House did not change the Governor&#8217;s amendments to the MPAP.
