Comments due today for Baker-Polito Economic Development Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>It is important that\u00a0artists and artists&#8217; run organizations submit their comments today on the Baker-Polito Economic Development Plan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The \u201cdraft\u201d Baker-Polito Economic Development Plan was released on November 12, 2015. The mandatory public hearing for it was held last week, November 16, 2015, by the<a href=\"https:\/\/malegislature.gov\/Committees\/Joint\/J12\"> Joint Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to note that key priorities from the final Economic Development Plan will be more than likely be crafted into economic development bill filed by the Baker Administration in early 2016.<\/p>\n<p>[blockquote align=&#8221;none&#8221; cite=&#8221;~Jay Ash, Secretary of the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development&#8221;]Massachusetts law requires each new administration to publish a comprehensive economic development plan, and an implementation strategy, within the administration\u2019s first year.[\/blockquote]<\/p>\n<p>This plan is an \u201cevolving document&#8221;. \u00a0All public comments are due by Thursday, December 3rd, \u00a0and should be sent by email to:<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:Adrian.Servetnick@State.MA.US\">Adrian.Servetnick@State.MA.US<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Link to more information and to the report: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mass.gov\/hed\/economic-development-plan.html\">http:\/\/www.mass.gov\/hed\/economic-development-plan.html<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is important that\u00a0artists and artists&#8217; run organizations submit their comments today on the Baker-Polito Economic Development Plan.
