As we mentioned in Part One<\/a>, the Massachusetts Senate Ways & Means Committee<\/a>\u00a0is responsible for crafting and releasing the Senate\u2019s budget. This is the third step in our state\u2019s budget process. See: https:\/\/malegislature.gov\/Budget\/Process<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The first step of the budget process was the release of the Governor\u2019s Budget. The second step was the release of the House budget and the finalization of the House Budget.<\/p>\n

The Senate budget does not contain any language to change or end our state\u2019s film tax credit program. (Note: we need to be on the lookout for anti-film tax credit amendments to the Senate budget.<\/em>)<\/p>\n
