Affordable Care Act’s Open Enrollment Period for health insurance in MA is OPEN!<\/h4>\n

Enroll now for proper health care coverage!<\/h5>\n

There has been much talk and speculation around the fate of the Affordable Care Act with the new, incoming Trump administration.\u00a0While we don\u2019t yet know the specific policy changes Trump and the Republican Congress will enact, we do know that the Affordable Care Act<\/a> is still the law of the land and open enrollment is happening now.<\/p>\n

The open enrollment period is the time frame when people can enroll in a health plan for the next year. Folks can re-enroll in the plans they currently have or\u00a0they can \u201cshop\u201d and enroll in a different plan. This year, open enrollment runs from November 1, 2016 to January 31, 2017.<\/p>\n

If you need health insurance and want to see if you are eligible for help with your health coverage costs, or if\u00a0 you already get your health coverage through the Health Connector and want to re-enroll, go to\u00a0www.mahealthconnector.org<\/a>\u00a0to apply, consider your plan options, and enroll. You can also find help from certified enrollment “assisters” (https:\/\/my.mahealthconnector.<\/wbr>org\/enrollment-assisters<\/a>) for help with applying, choosing a plan and enrolling in that plan.<\/p>\n

We urge everyone to enroll now and not wait!<\/h5>\n

Remember, Massachusetts was the first state to pioneer much-needed health care reform. Governor Baker and other state policy makers have said that they remain committed to providing coverage to Massachusetts residents, regardless of what comes on a federal level.<\/p>\n

We also have a strong health care advocate community to help safeguard the progress we have made as a state on health care coverage.<\/p>\n
