Washington, DC<\/em>\u2014In its ongoing commitment to producing resources for community engagement with the arts, the National Endowment for the Arts has published\u00a0How to Do Creative Placemaking: An Action-Oriented Guide to Arts in Community Development<\/em>.<\/a>\u00a0The book features 28 essays from thought leaders active in arts-based community development as well as 13 case studies of projects funded through the NEA\u2019s creative placemaking program, Our Town.<\/p>\n

Concurrent with the publication of\u00a0How to Do Creative Placemaking,\u00a0<\/em>the NEA,\u00a0Kresge Foundation<\/a>,ArtPlace America<\/a>, the\u00a0Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars<\/a>, and\u00a0Partners for Livable Communities<\/a>, are presenting Creative Placemaking: The Role of Arts in Community Development, a convening hosted by the Wilson Center on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 1:00 \u2013 6:00 PM ET.<\/p>\n
