The House FY18 Budget debate has now ended.<\/p>\n

The remaining two amendments\/line items MALC is following were\u00a0grouped into the category:\u00a0Labor and Economic Development and were bundled\/voted on in-Consolidated\u00a0 “I”*<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Representative Cory Atkins<\/strong>\u00a0filed the following amendments for the tourism and the Massachusetts Cultural Council:<\/p>\n

Amendment #6 \u00a0for line item<\/i>\u00a00640-0300 for the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC)\u00a0<\/i>\u00a0to restore and increase the Massachusetts Cultural Council\u2019s funding.<\/p>\n

The amendment funding was changed-\u00a0Mr. Dempsey of Haverhill and others move to amend H.3600 in section 2, in item 0640-0300, by striking the figure \u201c$10,075,699\u201d and inserting in the place thereof the following figure:- $12,075,699 \u00a0(original request was $16 million)<\/span><\/p>\n

For Tourism:<\/i>\u00a0Amendment #39\u00a0for line item<\/i>\u00a07008-1000 for the regional tourism councils (line item restoration,\u00a0i.e., to restore their funding)- this amendment failed and did not pass. So no funding for line item 7008-1000<\/p>\n
