The State Senate is slated to begin its budget debate tomorrow. There are several budget amendments MALC is following and is urging people to advocate on.<\/p>\n

Making calls to your state senator takes minimal time and effort, but has a huge impact.<\/p>\n

First you need to find out who your State Senator\u00a0is:<\/strong><\/p>\n

(Note \u2013 even if you know the phone number of your State Representative, many have moved their offices since last year, so it is best to check if you still have the right phone number \u2013 \u00a0emails will be the same)<\/em><\/p>\n

Second, your need to know what Senate\u00a0Budget Amendments to advocate for\/against:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Amendments to Urge Your Senator to Vote Against:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Amendment #38 \u00a0– Needs to not be adopted<\/strong>. As we posted this morning- We need to urge your state senator to vote against Senate Budget Amendment #38 as it would effectively end our state’s film tax credit program. This amendment was adopted on Tuesday \u00a0afternoon, May 23.<\/span><\/p>\n
