MALC is actively following the Commonwealth\u2019s FY19 budget process.\u00a0We watch for several \u201cline items\u201d in the budget- the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC), funding to our libraries, the tourism funding formula, and the film tax credit program. We also monitor what is\u00a0filed in the \u201coutside\u201d section(s) of the budget.<\/p>\n

The first step in our\u00a0state budget process was the release of the Governor\u2019s budget in January.\u00a0 The second step is the release of the House Ways & Means proposed budget on Wednesday, April 11th.\u00a0 MALC will report in our blog on Wednesday, and the days that follow, on this second step of the budget process.<\/p>\n
