Urgent Action Needed: GOP Healthcare Bill could go to vote today, May 4!
New amendment to the GOP health care bill attracts more votes but doesn’t fix problems. Take Action Now!

Wie won’t stand by as House Republicans continue to threaten to repeal the Affordable Care Act, leaving populations across the U.S. without coverage.
As they rush to vote to repeal the ACA, House leaders have collected more votes than ever, hoping to attract more moderates to vote for it. The new Upton-Long amendment would allegedly provide a small additional premium subsidy to certain people with preexisting conditions, and would do nothing to address the underlying problems their AHCA causes for people with preexisting conditions. The AHCA would still send us back to a time when insurers could discriminate against those living with preexisting conditions – charging consumers higher premiums and selling them plans that don’t meet their health needs by limiting benefits and increasing out-of-pocket costs.
Nor does the amendment address any of the fundamental weaknesses of the underlying bill — $839 billion in cuts to Medicaid, strips more than 20 million people of their health insurance and allows states to gut the main consumer protections of the ACA.
We need you to take action today!
Call your U.S. Representative today and urge them to vote, “No!“.
Please contact your friends and family who live in states with Republican US representatives. You need to ask them to get in touch with their members of Congress to ensure that they don’t support this dangerous bill!
