MALC is excited to report that both amendments we opposed were defeated, while 7 of the 9 amendments we supported were accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you to everyone who contacted their State Representative last week and urged their rejection of detrimental amendments and support for key amendments that support artists of all disciplines, the arts, cultural and creative economy sectors.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Film Tax Credits Amendments Defeated<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>MALC is a strong supporter of the state&#8217;s Film Tax Credit program. Two amendments filed in the House budget proposal would have unacceptably weakened the program.
