The Film Tax Credit has never been more at risk than it is right now!!!

May 21, 2017

Important update from our friends in the film sector!

A member of the State Senate’s leadership team has filed an amendment (#38) to the state budget which would effectively kill the film & TV production program.

Amendment 38 targets an essential investment that major productions make in high profile talent. These larger productions, with more high profile talent, spend more money, create more jobs, buy more goods and services from local businesses, and have a greater economic impact on our cities and towns. These changes will make Massachusetts less competitive, sending productions and the good-paying local jobs to competing states.

The Senate will be meeting in ‘caucus’ Monday and debate begins Tuesday, May 23rd. We need to get as many phone calls into the State House as we can tomorrow and Tuesday.

Please email, copy and distribute our flier Monday and Tuesday!

Have people tell their Senators to oppose Amendment #38

Tell them films = jobs and this amendment would kill jobs
because films won’t come here.
