Remembering Representative Chris Walsh
State Representative Chris Walsh
5/20/51 – 5/2/18
One year ago today, we lost an amazing person who touched so many people with the good and tireless work he did to make the world a better place. On the evening of May 2, 2018, Representative Chris Walsh lost his long, hard-fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family when he left this realm. MALC thanks his wife, Cindy, for giving us permission to write and share this blog post far and wide. As a tribute, we are linking to several MALC blog posts that honor Rep Walsh.

- Rep. Walsh was a 2017 MALC Champion of Artists awardee.
- Last November, at the 12th Annual Artists Under the Dome Event at the State House, MALC inaugurated a Champion of Artists award in his memory.
Rep. Walsh strongly encouraged artists of all disciplines to become organized to advocate civically for the issues important to them. He was one of MALC’s biggest supporters — we all miss working (and plotting) with him.
A post about Rep. Walsh’s celebration of life ceremony.
MALC wishes his family and his former state house staff much comfort today and in the days to come.
Rep Walsh: we miss you dearly, and you will always be our champion.
Until soon,
The MALC Steering Committee
