Join the MCC at its inaugural Mass Cultural Council Institute to imagine and create a cultural agenda that deepens economic and social vitality across the Commonwealth.

Cultivate connections with local and nationally recognized practitioners, artists, municipal officials, and leaders in communities and the creative sector.

Share your experience, and add your voice to the collective power of culture! Invitations will be sent in January with registration information and details about the speakers and sessions.

ARTNEWS: Massachusetts Appeals Court Pauses Berkshire Museum Sale [Updated]

A Massachusetts Appeals Court has granted an injunction until, at least, December 11 to halt the auctioning of valuable art works donated to the Berkshire Museum for the benefit of public enjoyment.

Important Update on Berkshire Museum and Sale of its Art at Sotherby’s

This Tuesday evening the judge hearing the cases to stop the sale of the artwork from the Berkshire Museum at Sotherby’s on November 13th, sided with the museum and allowed the sale of the art work to occur. To stop the sale of the artwork, the Attorney General would need to appeal the judge’s decision. …
